SPB has recruited a Chief Data Officer as part of its development strategy in embedded insurance

SPB has recruited a Chief Data Officer, Romain Dachy, as part of its development strategy in embedded insurance. A strategic part of the Altitude 2023 plan presented by SPB in March, embedded insurance is expected to represent 25% of property and casualty insurance sold worldwide in 2030.

"I am delighted that Romain Dachy has joined SPB as Chief Data Officer. Data mining will enable the insurance sector to change its very nature to better respond to uses in order to be acquired in a particular path, in a purchasing situation, or in a moment of life. The solutions developed by SPB are designed to be integrated into any digital ecosystem and enable, in particular, insurance to be embedded in products distributed on an e-commerce site, as well as any goods rented/sold on a platform or in smart objects. "

In this context, data becomes a fundamental asset for improving performance, carrying out targeted marketing, anticipating termination behaviour and automating tasks. The data collected in real time is used to monitor the technical results of insurance products, and to control the risk and the durability of contracts while optimising profitability.

A graduate of École Centrale de Marseille, Romain Dachy began his career in 1997 at Cap Gemini as a Project Leader tasked with improving call centres in the telecom market. In 2000, he joined PeopleSoft, then in 2001 Atos as CRM Business Manager to propose technical solutions to improve customer relationship management. In 2007, he joined SAS Institute, a software company specialising in business intelligence, as a senior consultant, before becoming Account Manager at Data Exchanger in 2009. In 2010, he joined Teradata as Project Director. Since 2016, Romain has been working for the Les Mousquetaires group, initially as Project Director, then as Data & IT Director.
