Cookie Usage Policy
I) WHAT IS A COOKIE?
A “cookie” (or tracer) is a series of information, generally small and identified by a name, which can be transmitted to the User’s browser by a website to which they are connected. The web browser will keep it for a certain period of time, and will send it back to the web server each time the User reconnects to it.
Cookies have multiple uses: they can be used to store a customer identifier for a merchant site, the current status of a shopping cart, an identifier to trace navigation for statistical or advertising purposes, etc.
II) WHAT TYPES OF COOKIES ARE USED BY THE SITE AND FOR WHAT PURPOSES?
When visiting the Site, the Site stores the User’s IP address and uses cookies to facilitate the User’s visit to the website, improve the User’s experience and compile statistics.
The cookies used on the Site are the following:
- Strictly necessary cookies:
These cookies do not store any personally identifiable information. However, they are essential to enable browsing on the Site. They are generally only defined in response to actions taken by the User, which amount to a request for service, such as setting privacy preferences, logging in or filling in forms.
Authentication and security cookies are used, for example, to identify and recognise the registered User and to enable him/her to access the requested content or functionality.
The User can set his/her browser to block or alert him/her to the presence of these cookies, but without them, the services requested by the User cannot be provided.
- Performance cookies:
These analysis and search cookies are used to count visits and measure traffic in order to measure and improve the Site. These cookies also help us to know which pages are the most and least popular, and to see how visitors navigate the site, as well as to improve the way the Site works and to enhance the User experience.
All information collected by these cookies is aggregated and therefore anonymous.
The User can set their browser to block or alert him/her to the presence of these cookies, and blocking these cookies will not affect the service provided.
The User is informed that the Site analyses the performance of the Site via Google Analytics.
The information generated by the cookie about the use of the website (including visitors’ IP addresses) is transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating the activity of the website, compiling reports on website activity for the website operator and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage. Google will not pass on this information to third parties unless required to do so by law or unless such third parties are acting on Google’s behalf and are required to maintain confidentiality. Google does not compare visitors’ IP addresses with any other information held by Google.
III) THE STORAGE DURATION OF A COOKIE
Cookies have a lifespan of 13 months from the day the User gives consent to their use. The User has the possibility of removing them from his/her terminal at any time, according to the methods described in article IV below.
