SPB strengthens its commitment to ESG

SPB Group, European leader of affinity insurance, is enhancing its commitment to improving its environmental, social, and governance (ESG) performance by appointing Laís Carvalhal as the newly established ESG Manager. Based in Paris – La Défense, she will report to Morgan Coutrot, CFO of the SPB Group.
This appointment aims to integrate sustainable development into our company’s strategy and address the growing expectations of our key account and insurance partners. Laís will be responsible for defining and managing the group’s ESG strategy, ensuring the identification, prevention, and mitigation of risks related to environmental, social, and governance issues. Additionally, she will coordinate existing initiatives and develop new ones to strengthen our positive impact.
In this capacity, she will collaborate closely with operational departments (marketing, IT, operations, human resources, general services, sales) to embed ESG considerations into daily processes and decisions, thereby ensuring a sustainable, responsible, and multidisciplinary approach across all levels of the company.
Laís holds a degree in environmental engineering from the Area1 Faculty of Salvador de Bahia and brings 12 years of experience in ESG policy management across various sectors, including agriculture (Odebrecht Agroindustrial), energy (CPFL Renováveis), and logistics (FM Logistic, a French company with 28,000 employees where she has worked since 2021).
